Our Vision

Restoration Village is Present Age Ministries’ vision for a family-based community where teen girls who have experienced sexual abuse, exploitation, or trafficking can find safety, stability, and consistent support.

The Village will bring homes, education, counseling, and shared spaces together on one campus. Its purpose is to give each girl room to heal while surrounding her with caring adults and an individualized network of support.

The Future Campus

A Campus Designed for Connection

Present Age Ministries has secured 38 acres for Restoration Village, and preliminary site planning is underway. The current vision includes six family homes, two staff homes, and a central hub for learning, counseling, activities, and gathering.

Each family home is planned for no more than two girls, giving each her own bedroom and bathroom within a supportive home setting. The campus is being designed to balance privacy with community: space to rest and feel safe, alongside places to learn, build relationships, and explore new possibilities.

Our Care Model

Care Built Around Each Girl

Healing takes time, trust, and dependable relationships. Restoration Village is being developed around a family-based model that pairs everyday stability with individualized, trauma-informed support. The planned approach brings caregivers and clinical professionals together to respond to each girl’s needs.

Counseling, education, life skills, and opportunities for connection will be part of a coordinated plan that respects her voice, choices, and pace. Our aim is to help each girl build safety and lasting relationships as she moves toward her own future.

Help Build Restoration Village

Restoration Village will take a community of people who believe teen girls deserve safety, belonging, and the opportunity to heal. Your support helps Present Age Ministries move the vision forward—from campus planning and partnerships to the homes and care model that will one day serve girls here. Whether you give, introduce a potential partner, or help others learn about the Village, you can play a part in building what comes next.

Common Questions

Village FAQs

What is Restoration Village?

Restoration Village is Present Age Ministries’ vision for a family-based community serving teen girls who have experienced sexual abuse, exploitation, or trafficking. It is being designed to bring a Level 3 foster care family environment together with coordinated clinical, educational, and practical support.

Is Restoration Village open?

No. Restoration Village is in the planning and development stage. Present Age Ministries continues to serve girls through its existing direct services programs.

Who is the Village being designed to serve?

The Village is being designed for teen girls who need a higher level of support following sexual abuse, exploitation, or trafficking. Eligibility and placement will be determined through the applicable foster care process and each girl’s individual needs.

Is Restoration Village a group home?

The vision centers on family homes rather than one large residence. Each home is planned for no more than two girls living in a Level 3 foster care family environment, with support from a broader team.

What will daily life look like?

Girls will live with foster families and have opportunities for school, activities, relationships, rest, and age-appropriate responsibilities. The goal is a consistent home life, with care and support tailored to each girl.

How many girls will live at Restoration Village?

Current plans include six family homes, each designed for no more than two girls. The final number served will depend on completed campus plans, foster family readiness, and placement needs.

What will the campus include?

Current plans include six family homes, two staff homes, and a central hub with space for education, counseling, activities, and gathering. The campus design may evolve during development.

Why bring homes and services together on one campus?

The Village is intended to give girls the stability of family life and easier access to the people and services supporting them. Bringing those elements together can help foster families, clinical staff, and program staff coordinate care.

What does trauma-informed care mean at the Village?

It means approaching each girl with an understanding that trauma can affect her sense of safety, relationships, and responses to everyday situations. The planned model emphasizes consistent relationships, individualized support, and care that respects her voice and pace.

Will girls receive counseling?

Counseling is part of the planned care model. Clinical professionals will help shape support around each girl’s needs and coordinate with her foster family and other members of her care team.

Will girls attend school?

Education is part of the Village vision, and the planned hub includes learning space. Furthermore, Present Age is working to develop micro-school model that is designed to give our girls the best chance for success. We are working with educators, psychologist, and professionals to outline.

Will girls stay connected to family and other important people?

Those connections will be considered as part of each girl’s individual care and foster care plan. Restoration Village aims to support safe, healthy relationships and work with the people and agencies involved in her care.

Is participation in religious activities required?

No. Present Age Ministries is a faith-based organization, but girls receiving services are not required to share their beliefs or participate in religious activities.

How will girls’ privacy and safety be protected?

Privacy and safety are central to the Village’s planning. Details about residents and their experiences will be protected, and campus practices will be developed with the needs of the girls in mind.

Who is partnering with Present Age Ministries?

Present Age Ministries has worked with Lutheran Services Carolinas for more than 10 years; it is our foster care partner for the Village model. Third Lens supports design and development, and A.F. Richter supports construction planning.

When will Restoration Village open?

An opening date has not been announced. Present Age Ministries will share milestones as planning, partnerships, and development move forward.

Can I refer a girl to Restoration Village now?

The Village is not accepting placements while it is in development. If a teen girl needs support now, use Present Age Ministries’ direct services referral process. If she is in immediate danger, call 911.

How can I support Restoration Village?

You can give toward the Village, connect Present Age Ministries with potential partners, or share the vision with your community. Support now helps move campus planning and development forward.
